Brittani Fulmer-Blog post #8

Style yourself or a friend and take a photo. Upload that photo to the blog. Then right a minimum of 5 sentences telling me how you coordinated the outfit considering…
1.     End use
2.     Fabrication
3.     Style
4.     Color

First I will address how I used end use in my outfit is that i put together items that were a like these pieces were meant to be "casual going out" clothing. With the fabrication i mixed it up a little bit my pants were a normal rough jean like material and my shirt was pure silk, which made it a little bit more fancy than if i were to wear just a plain cotton shirt with those pants. The style was meant to be Casual comfy but still very trendy with adding the neon colors that really popped. I did a little bit of a mix of colors i have black, dark green, lime green and then nude for my wedges.

Christina Marsico-Blog 8

This is a picture of me wearing an outfit that I put together for work.   My thought process was quick, but sometimes I feel those are my best looking outfits.   Reds and pinks are colors that complement me well, so I tend to gravitate to them.  These red slacks that I am wearing in this picture are one of my favorite pants because I wear so many different colors with them.  Today I decided to pair it with this leopard print lace tunic top.  I think this top matches really well with the red slacks.  My style can vary, but I do like to dress very trendy with creativity behind my outfits.  The accessories that I am wearing also give the outfit an end use, which pulls the outfit together.

At Brooks Brothers they are using spot light to highlight there window display.  The lights are square, but give off a lot of light to draw the customer attention.  The bulbs are bright and seem to be clear.  The light are positioned from the ceiling, but slightly tilted in different directions on the merchandise.

In this second photo you will see that Pottery Barn uses different lighting because they are offering their home goods in a different way. They are using hanging lights and circle halogen lights that are around the perimeter of the store. I see they are using several different types of lights, but are used in different places within the store to highlight different merchandise.

This picture is from Kids Pottery Barn taken from Mall of Millenia.  In this store the lights are positioned down the aisle and around the perimeter of the store.   While I was there I saw only two types of lights; hanging lights and spot lights.  The way they have positioned the lights it really showcasing the merchandise.  I think that the way the lights are positioned around the store gets their customers focused on their products.
